How to Get an RMFO-Blog

Here’s how you get an rmfo-blog:

  1. Be a subscriber to the [rocksmyfaceoff.net] Forum and a member of that forum for at least 60 days. This is not an open WordPress weblog hosting service; if you need or want that, please check out WordPress.com.
  2. Choose a username for your account. All RMFO-Blogs are configured to be http://rmfo-blogs.com/[username]/. Please make sure that you’ve not selected a username already in use.
  3. Choose a throwaway password for me to use to create your account. This password will also be used to create an FTP account that you can use to install themes and plugins.
  4. If you desire, select a theme for WordPress. Many repositories of WordPress themes exist: I am partial to Alex King’s WordPress theme repository, having helped build it, but the repository at WordPress.net is also quite excellent. If you select a theme, please be sure to have both an URL and a name for the theme, as I am most likely not going to be aware of its source. Please note that themes listed as WP 1.5-compatible will work in WP 2.0; they may not have the full feature-set of WP 2.0, but they will work just fine.
  5. Email or send a PM via the Rumor Forum to me with the password you’ve selected and the information above regarding a theme. Email will probably be acted upon faster.

From there, I will generate your rmfo-blog as soon as possible. Once complete, I will send you details on where to go to log in to your account for the first time.
